Anonymous: you break hearts.

Oscar Wilde once wrote that the heart was made to be broken, and you know what? I couldn’t agree more. The threat of being crushed by the weight of sorrow forces a person to grow, to become both sensitive and impervious. Heartbreak is one of the most incredible experiences a human being can have — it creates depth, rich colour, earth-shattering sound. You can’t tell me there isn’t any beauty in that.

If I’ve hurt anybody, I’m sorry, but I’ve never been responsible for somebody else’s emotions and I never will be. The best I can hope for is that they pry open their wounds and allow sunlight to stain them.
